Apple’s ‘Back to School’ promo to reach international markets next month

Apple launched its 2015 “Back to School” promotion last week, offering customers in the U.S. and Canada free Beats headphones when they buy a Mac. According to an internal video from Apple retail chief Angela Ahrendts, the deal will also be available in international markets soon.

Ahrendts explains in the video, which was obtained by French blog Consumac, that the Back to School promotion launched in the U.S. and Canada first because “kids go back to school in these countries earlier than a lot of other countries.”

But that doesn’t mean international markets will miss out; Ahrendts adds that those in Europe and other supported markets will see the Back to School promotion on August 6 and August 7.

This year’s promotion sees students and teachers receiving free Beats Solo2 headphones worth $200 when they buy a Mac Pro, iMac, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, or MacBook. Alternatively, customers can upgrade to Beats Solo2 Wireless headphones for $100 — down from $300.
