Guess the Phone: Never settle

I’m ready. On Monday, July 27, the next iteration of this beloved phone will finally be unveiled. We actually know quite a bit the device already, but the company will utilize a unique format to reveal one of this year’s most anticipated devices. I can’t wait.

It wasn’t just the price that made this device so attractive; the design, specs and experience was top notch. I realize not everyone had such a sublime experience with the device—there have been customers service nightmares, poor hardware and more. Maybe I just got lucky with the unit I bought. But it’s still terrific to this day.

If you’ve been following this company as closely as I have, the pictures above will be immediately recognizable. The device used an odd sandpaper material that wound up being a lot more pleasant than I thought. In fact, I prefer it to glass and aluminum; it was that good.

By all accounts, it looks like the sequel is going to be every bit as good as the first one. Upgraded specs, a refined design and new hardware. The only downside is that because the specs are getting a significant bump, the price will get a small hike as well.

My excitement for new devices has flatlined over the past several months, but this particular device still gets my heart pumping. There’s just something about it. And now that a successor is on the way? I’m giddy with excitement.

Am I the only one?
