It’s July 24. Know what that means? The Surface 3 is now available with LTE support. Microsoft confirmed the news Friday morning, noting that customers should find the tablet in Microsoft stores, partner retailer locations and, of course, in AT&T stores, the exclusive carrier of the Surface 3 with LTE until T-Mobile offers it later this month.
Keep in mind that, while the Surface 3 is an exciting device, it’s not as powerful as the Core i3/Core i5/Core i7 Surface Pro 3 models that Microsoft also sells. Instead, it packs an Intel Atom processor and a smaller 10.8-inch display. That means it also comes with a much more affordable $499 starting price tag, however.
The Surface 3 with LTE should be on your radar, especially if you’re looking for a device that doubles as a laptop and a tablet, and that will be upgradeable to Windows 10 in just a few short days.
