Galaxy Tab A Plus brings the S Pen to a mid-range device

Samsung’s S Pen is typically reserved for the company’s high-end Note family. Now the South Korean giant is bringing its impressive stylus technology to a cheaper device with the Galaxy Tab A Plus.

The new tablet was quietly launched in France this week where it’s available for €339 ($371). Beyond the S Pen, the Tab A Plus also packs a 9.7-inch display with a resolution of 768 x 1024 pixels. You also get a 6000mAh battery, a quad-core processor, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. It runs Android 5.o Lollipop along with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

Overall the Tab A Plus seems like a pretty sweet deal, especially if you’re looking for a cheap tablet with a decent stylus. There’s no word on when the device will make it to the U.S. or any other countries beyond France, but hopefully Samsung doesn’t keep us waiting for too long.
