‘Jurassic World’ sequel release date revealed

Jurassic World has become an unmitigated success. Despite getting mediocre reviews from critics, moviegoers have fallen in love with the dino-themed film, which features a made up genetically modified monster. People love it so much that it has already become the third top-grossing film of all-time, surpassing Joss Whedon’s The Avengers. As such, Universal has announced a sequel for June 22, 2018.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will return, though no other casting announcements have been made at this time. Colin Trevorrow, who directed Jurassic World, is set to co-write the screenplay with Derek Connolly.

No other major details have been unveiled. But given the kind of loose ends Jurassic World left us with, the sequel can go in any number of directions. For one, Dr. Wu escaped with some embryos, and there are still many dinosaurs roaming the island, which had to be evacuated amidst the chaos. Whatever Dr. Wu is up to, you can bet the sequel will address it.

Jurassic World is still in some theaters, so go on and check it out to see what all the fuss is about. But before you do that, check out our review of the movie down below.
