We can’t wait to get our hands on the Huawei Watch, but unfortunately there’s still no word on when the Android Wear device will actually launch. In the meantime, a new leak has us pining for the smartwatch even more than before.
Italian site HDBlog managed to gets its hands on some photos of the Huawei Watch box. As expected, this first-class device gets some sharp packaging to match. Specifically, there’s a sleek black box with gold lining; the watch sits inside clasped around a small pillow like a piece of jewelry. It’s unclear if the box will also serve as a charging mechanism — as it does for the Apple Watch Edition — but that seems unlikely based on these images.
The smartwatch is set to pack a 1.4-inch 400 x 400-pixel round AMOLED display and a stainless steel frame. It also boasts a protective sapphire crystal cover and all the usual sensors you’d expect from a modern wearable. As for the price, that’s still a mystery too, though according to one retailer it’s set to start at £300 ($466) in silver or black, and £350 ($543) in gold. Yes, that’s expensive, but at least you’ll get a pretty box, right?
