Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will hit PC “later” than Xbox One

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is set to release on the Xbox One on August 25, 2015. That’s right around the corner, and it’s obvious that Microsoft is hoping to use the bundle to drum up sales of its machine as the holiday season approaches.

Yep, there’s even a Gears Xbox One bundle coming on the same date.

During E3 in June, Rod Fergusson of The Coalition (formerly Black Tusk) announced that Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will also come to the PC via Windows 10. When? We’re not sure.

We do have a timeline of sorts now, thanks to Xbox boss Phil Spencer. He responded, in typical fashion, to a question about Gears Ultimate on the PC on Twitter.

While we don’t have an exact release window for the PC version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, we do officially know that it’s coming later than its Xbox One release. Stay tuned for more until then.
