Moto X (2015) hints at front-facing flash in new photos

by Brandon Russell | July 22, 2015

Mere days ahead of Motorola’s event next week, and a handful of alleged Moto X photos have leaked out. These are not unlike the bundle of other photos we’ve seen already, although they’re much clearer, and give us a look at both the front and back of the upcoming device.

These photos very clearly show off a Motorola phone, matching the same design we’ve seen over the past few years. This time, however, it looks just that bit more refined, with aluminum accents and a strip down the center of the phone’s rear shell. The dimple is much smaller compared to last year, too. By and large, it looks like what you’d expect from a Moto X in the year 2015.

The photos showing off the front of the device do appear to hint at a front-facing flash, though we don’t have confirmation of that quite yet. Selfies are becoming an important part of our vainglorious lives, and a flash would allow users to take selfies in any lighting condition.

We’re still not quite sure what to expect in terms of specs, though it wouldn’t be crazy to assume the device will sport a Snapdragon processor, 3GB of RAM and a Quad HD display. For what it’s worth, one of the photos was accompanied by a note that said the device sports a 5.5-inch display.

We’ll know much more about the new Moto X when Motorola holds its event on July 28.
