Kyocera announced on Wednesday that its Hydro WAVE Android smartphone is now available on T-Mobile and will soon launch on MetroPCS. The Hydro WAVE is a water resistant and rugged device that won’t break the bank, even if you decide to buy it off contract.

The Hydro WAVE is equipped with a 5-inch 960 x 540-pixel display, a 5-megapixel camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm processor, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 8GB of storage (expandable with support for up to 32GB microSD cards), 1GB of RAM and a 2,300mAh battery. The most compelling feature, however, is probably its durability. The phone can spend up to 30 minutes in a meter of water (3.28 feet) and is also resistant to shock and dust.

The Kyocera Hydro WAVE is available from T-Mobile beginning Wednesday and will launch on MetroPCS beginning on July 27. T-Mobile is selling the phone for $149.99 at full retail or for $0 down with $6.25 monthly payments for 24 months.
