A brand new trailer for Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur has been released, giving us a much better idea of what to expect from this prehistoric adventure.
Arriving on Thanksgiving (Nov. 25), The Good Dinosaur follows a young Apatosaurus named Arlo who loses his family and finds himself far, far away from home. As he makes his way back to Clawed-Tooth Mountains, he forms an unbreakable and unlikely bond with a human cave-boy named Spot.
Like previous Pixar movies, The Good Dinosaur looks wonderful, using beautiful visuals and charming characters to create what looks to be a very moving film. Leave it to Pixar to make us feel empathy for a lost dinosaur. I already know that I’m going to be an emotional wreck while watching this.
The new trailer is made up of almost entirely new footage, giving us a great look at the different characters Arlo will encounter during his travels. The visuals look stunning, as expected. It will just come down to whether or not The Good Dinosaur creates a convincing relationship between Arlo and Spot.
Based on the trailer, I’m going to go out on a limb and say Pixar will succeed. The Good Dinosaur comes out Nov. 25, 2015.
