Atlus and VanillaWare tease a new project outside of Odin Sphere

by Ron Duwell | July 21, 2015

The HD remake of Odin Sphere isn’t the only exciting collaboration between Atlus and VanillaWare. The two companies have teased yet another game that they are working on together, but they haven’t revealed enough to demand your attention… yet.

In the 30 second teaser, all we are given is a Matrix circuit graphic that fades to black quickly, and promises of a new announcement in September. What could it possibly be?

That’s it. Nothing else to see here! It’s just the pair working on something new, and that should be enough for fans for the rest of the summer.

VanillaWare is best known for its luscious fantasy worlds, but it hasn’t traveled into the realm of science fiction yet. I wouldn’t mind seeing this idea unfold out into a reality. What kind of Matrix-esque science fiction game could the developers of Odin Sphere and Dragon’s Crown possibly make? No doubt, it will feature humans, mostly of the female variety, with some horrendously out of proportionate body parts.

Because that’s just how VanillaWare rolls.
