A few days back, Ubisoft offered YouTubers a chance to go hands-on with a lengthy alpha demo of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. It looks like the last 24 hours have marked the time when these channels can publish their content.
Here we have a “Deep Dive with Yogscast Lomadia,” as posted on the official UK Assassin’s Creed Channel. The clip is nearly an hour in length, and the pair of hosts tackle a lot over that span.
It’s just that, well, it’s not been very well received by fans. In fact, the video has over 300,000 views as of the moment I’m drafting this story, and it has way, way more dislikes than likes. I followed that trail down to the comment section and found heaps of viewers suggesting that Syndicate looks exactly like Unity, that Ubisoft needs to take a year off and that London looks horribly empty.
Even further, if you find the same video on other gaming blogs and news outlets, you’ll see comments in a much similar vein. The fact of the matter is that this particular gameplay clip in it’s full hour glory isn’t sitting well with fans.
What do you think?
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will hit the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 23, 2015. The PC version of the game is also due this fall, though it doesn’t have a release date yet.
