Atlus and Vanillaware have announced a new project that should get Odin Sphere fans pretty pumped.
Bound for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita is Odin Sphere Leifdrasir, an HD remaster of the original game with new additions. The Japanese arm of Atlus even announced a release date for Japan in the tweet: January 14, 2016.

Odin Sphere was originally developed by Vanillaware and released by Atlus back in 2007 on the PlayStation 2. So, yes, both companies have been in this race before. This is a 2D action RPG, and it tells the stories of five heroes that weave in and out with one another.
While it certainly didn’t sell on a massive scale, Odin Sphere was a critical darling with almost all outlets when it released. That, coupled with the sales success initially in Japan, lead to a strong cult following in the west. That following is undoubtedly very pumped to see this one down the line.
