New Nexus or G4 Pro appears in leaked benchmark

LG made a strong showing earlier this year with the G4, but the company is expected to follow things up with two new smartphones this fall. The LG G4 Pro and a Nexus handset may both be on the way, and it looks like one of those devices just got benchmarked.

The phone, which is listed by the model number F600L, surfaced on Geekbench earlier this week. It sports a Snapdragon 808 processor and 4GB of RAM. We’re definitely looking at a new high-end phone, though it’s unclear exactly which one.

LG’s new Nexus phone is expected to pack a 5.2-inch display, a 2700mAh battery and a Snapdragon 808 chip. That definitely lines up with the device benchmarked this week. It may also feature a 3D camera similar to what we’ve seen with Google’s Project Tango.

Meanwhile, the G4 Pro will allegedly come equipped with a 5.8-inch 2K display, 4GB of RAM, a 27-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel secondary camera and a metal frame. Rumor has it the device will also pack a Snapdragon 820 chip, though it’s possible LG is testing the new phone with a Snapdragon 808 for now.

If we had to guess, we’d say LG’s mystery device is that new Nexus phone. Of course, it’s way to soon to know for sure, but now that it’s being tested it probably won’t be too long before additional information starts to leak out.
