Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle, an offbeat entry in the series gaming pantheon, has been available in Japan for a while now. The game has just popped over to the Western world with a release on iOS and Android.
This is a free-to-play game with its fair share of microtransactions, but it might be something fans of the franchise would like to check out.
What is it? Here’s the Japanese version in action on Android.
Odd, right? It’s sort of a puzzle fighting game that requires players to assemble teams of characters and tap Ki spheres in order to deliver damage. The way it’s described on the App Store is sort of silly, but here’s what they offer.
◎Intense Over-the-Top Action!◎
Simply tap the Ki Spheres on the screen to engage in supersonic combat! The fighting is so extreme your screen won’t be able to handle it! Awaken the true potential of your favorite Dragon Ball characters and make them stronger than ever before! You’ve never experienced Dragon Ball like this!
Yes. Action “so extreme your screen won’t be able to handle it!” That cheese.
Still, it’s free and it’s Dragon Ball. Maybe it’s good, we’ll see.
