New Windows 10 build is the latest you should install

Microsoft on Wednesday announced yet another fresh build of Windows 10 for Windows 10 Insiders. Build 10240 is available to both Fast and Slow rings, and it’s probably the build you should install if you’ve been following along with each release.

Not only does it offer the latest features, bug fixes and performance tweaks, but according to The Verge, this is also the build that Microsoft is reportedly pushing out to manufacturers. Microsoft said the latest release has changes to Microsoft Edge that continue to optimize performance of the new browser, and tweaks to the “branding and licensing requirements” of Microsoft Office apps.

“This is going to be an exciting couple of weeks, but it is also only the beginning,” Microsoft said in a blog post announcing the Windows 10 build 10240 release. “Windows as a service means that we’ll continue to keep Windows up to date with improvements and features, and our Windows Insider Program will continue so you can get early builds and share your feedback with us.”

You can install Windows 10 build 10240 now by visiting Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates now.
