Moto G (2015) reportedly headed to Moto Maker, pictures show

The Moto G (2015) is already expected to be a real step up from last year’s model. Now it looks like the new smartphone could get another awesome upgrade thanks to Motorola’s Moto Maker website, and what we’re seeing is quite a beauty.

According to Evan Blass, the Moto G is heading to Moto Maker. That means you’ll be able to personalize your design, picking from a variety of colors for the rear panel and the camera module in back. The leak also shows the front of the device in black and white, though that’s not really a surprise. There’s no mention of high-end options like wood or leather, though we’re not ruling them out entirely just yet.

Meanwhile, some code on the Moto Maker website shared on Reddit may reveal a few new specs for the Moto G (2015). The device appears to sport 2GB of RAM (up from 1GB on last year’s model), along with some sort of digital television support. The phone is also expected to pack a 5-inch 720p display, a Snapdragon 410 processor, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel secondary camera and 8GB of storage.

Motorola looks pretty set to announce the new Moto G sometime this summer. We’re still not sure exactly when, though late August or early September seems like a safe bet based on previous years. Until then check out some leaked renders of the device below.
