ASUS ZenPad S 8.0 launches in U.S. for $200

Here’s a tablet you might want to consider if you need something new and sharp but with a price that won’t break the bank. The ASUS ZenPad S 8.0 launched in the U.S. recently with a wallet-friendly price of just $199.99.

The ZenPad S 8.0 offered up by Best Buy is the Z580C model and, for whatever reason, it doesn’t carry the “S” naming that ASUS originally intended it to. Still, the specs confirm it’s the same model. It ships with an 8-inch 2048 x 1536-pixel display, 32GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, an Intel Atom Z3560 processor clocked at 1.83GHz, a 5-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Keep in mind that this is not the most high-end version of the ASUS ZenPad S 8.0; another model will ship with 4GB of RAM, a faster processor and USB-C. (There’s also an entry level model, but it’s already confusing, isn’t it?)
