First Instagram started the move to higher-res photos and now Vine is moving to higher-res video. The latest iOS update now allows folks to upload “HD” content. It also has new discovery features for finding other Vines to follow along with.

Vine iOS engineer Kristian Bauer said that, after applying the latest update, Vine users on iOS will have a new option inside Settings that allows them to post content in HD. You’ll find the setting under the “Your Content” section, Bauer explained. It’s unclear what’s different about this HD content than the 720p video that Vine began allowing back in March — neither Bauer nor the iTunes changelog were clear — but it might mean even higher res 1080p clips.

Additionally, Vine added a list of users it suggests you should follow. It’s under the “Find People” tab in the app now, and Vine says they’re “hand-picked” for each user.
