San Diego Comic-Con may be the scene of a major announcement in the Star Wars universe on Friday evening.

According to Heroic Hollywood, when the Star Wars panel kicks off in the infamous Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center, we will learn the identity of the director of Star Wars Episode IX. The lucky individual will reportedly be Colin Trevorrow, the director of the recent smash hit Jurassic World.

With J.J. Abrams wrapping up his duties on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Rian Johnson in preproduction on Star Wars: Episode VIII, it makes sense to get the ball rolling on the final film in the new trilogy.

The panel is scheduled to kick off at 5:30 p.m. Pacific, so we only have a few hours to wait until we know for sure.
