Sony recently revealed plans to ship the Xperia Z4v on August 13. Until then, you can sign up for updates from the company via your email address. Either way, we’ll be sure to remind you when the new phone is actually available to purchase.
The Xperia Z4v packs a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 810 processor, a 20.7-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel shooter up front, 32GB of expandable storage and a 3000mAh battery. It also boasts support for both of the big wireless charging standards (Qi and PMA) along with quick charging capability.
Beware, an even better device may be just around the corner. Rumor has it the Xperia Z5 could launch later this year with a faster Snapdragon 820 chip, a larger 4500mAh battery and a fingerprint reader.
Hopefully we’ll know a bit more about the alleged Xperia Z5 by the time August 13 rolls around, but it may be worth waiting just a little longer to see what else Sony has to offer this fall.
Update: Looks like that was a mistake on Sony’s website. “At this time no official announcements have been made about device availability,” a spokesperson told TechnoBuffalo. “The copy displayed on the microsite is not accurate, so we apologize for any confusion around this matter. We will be sure to keep you posted with any further information we receive on this front.”
