Xbox One updates often add some pretty interesting features and functionality to the system. This week, though, there isn’t much to notice. It’s no less significant, though.

This update starts getting the dance floor ready for two big features heading to the system: Windows 10 streaming and Xbox 360 backwards compatibility.

Windows 10 streaming will launch alongside Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system on July 29, while backwards compatibility is heading to the system this fall. Some of the team’s efforts are focused on getting the system’s first big interface overhaul ready for when it hits later this year, as well, according to Xbox Live’s Larry Hryb, which will include things like Cortana integration and a new look for the system.
