The Galaxy A8 has been leaking pretty much nonstop for the past few weeks. Now we even know the new phone’s price and release date, at least in China where it may make its official debut later this month.
According to French news site NoWhereElse the Galaxy A8 will be unveiled on July 15. Two days later it will go on sale in China for roughly €439 (approx. $485). It’s unclear when or if the device will expand into Europe and the U.S., but we assume it will eventually given the trajectory of previous Galaxy A devices.
Rumored to be Samsung’s thinnest phone ever at 5.94mm thick, the Galaxy A8 is rumored to pack some pretty solid specs. That includes a 5.7-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 615 processor, a 3050mAh battery, a 16-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. The device may also feature a sleek metal design with a fingerprint reader built into its home button.
Getting all that for under $500 sounds like a pretty sweet deal. Hopefully Samsung doesn’t wait too long to bring the Galaxy A8 to America.
