Motorola is expected to announce a bunch of new devices starting this summer. We’re expecting new versions of the Moto X, the Moto G, the Moto 360 and more. Now we’re getting a closer look at one of these new handsets.
The new device recently passed through the FCC with the ID number IHDT56UC2, which doesn’t reveal much. However, a few interesting details were included in the filing. The upcoming phone measures 161.8mm (6.3 inches) across from edge to edge. That includes bezels, so the actual display should actually be significantly smaller. Droid-Life puts it somewhere closer to 5.5-inches.
The mysterious device also supports Motorola’s Turbo Charger, meaning it’s using Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0. Finally, it boasts support for all the LTE networks except Verizon’s. So we’re probably not looking at a DROID, and it may even end up shipping unlocked.
That’s all we can say so far, though hopefully we’ll learn more soon. It’s possible this might even be the new Moto X, though we won’t know for sure until Motorola starts revealing its new lineup for 2015.
