Microsoft Tossup app lets you poll your friends

Microsoft Garage, a community inside Microsoft that’s focused on turning “wild ideas into real projects,” recently released its latest application for iOS and Android. It’s called Tossup and lets friends poll one another on places to eat, times to go out, opinions and more.

You might post dinner plans to Tossup with a poll on five restaurants to go to, allowing your friends to all vote on the place you’ll dine. The app can pull in data direct from Yelp, allowing your friends to view each one and then vote on the restaurant inside your poll. That’s just one example, however, and you can create polls for opinions, times to meet, yes/no questions and more.

“Tossup removes the friction around planning,” Microsoft Garage member Jennifer Shen told 9to5Mac. “It’s really about connecting with people, removing barriers that cause plans to fall through. Our aim is for you to spend more time hanging out with friends rather than coordinating schedules.”

You can download Tossup from the Google Play Store or iTunes App Store now.
