You laugh, but Cook, Serve, Delicious! was one of my favorite games on PC a year or two ago. The game requires a lot of time management, insane muscle memory and the ability to pick and choose restaurant upgrades in order to become the best chef in the world.
It’s not an easy game, quite honestly, and that means it’s a lot of fun if you’re looking for a challenge.
Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! has been announced for the PC and mobile platforms. That’s not surprising. The game has also, however, been announced for the PlayStation 4. I’m not sure how that crowd will take the news, but that’s awesome as far as I’m concerned. The original was eventually updated for gamepad support on the PC, and it worked well.
Here’s what the game looks like on PlayStation 4 in its pre-alpha state.
If you’re wondering how the game plays, I totally get it. Basically, customers come into your restaurant and order food with specific ingredient needs. They may order a salad with ranch dressing, carrots and croutons. You have to select the item before the customer gets angry and leaves, read their ingredients and prepare it with its specific button combination. If it’s food that has to be cooked, you have to cook it and watch a timer in order to pull and serve before it burns.
It’s tough, especially during rush hour. Check it out at its highest difficulty.
Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! will launch for the PlayStation 4, PC and mobile platforms in 2016.
