Google now selling the Nexus 6 for just £304 ($474) in the U.K.

Google has slashed prices on its latest Nexus smartphone for Android fans in the U.K. The super-sized Nexus 6 can now be had for as little as £304 (approx. $474), which is the lowest price we’ve seen for this device since it made its debut last November.

Motorola recently held its own summer sale on the Nexus 6 for U.K. customers, which saw prices reduced to £399 (approx. $622) for the 32GB version, and £469 (approx. $731) for the 64GB version. But Google’s latest reductions are even better.

The search giant is now offering the 32GB Nexus 6 for just £304, while the 64GB option is down to £379 (approx. $591) through its official Google Store. That’s significantly cheaper than the £479 and £549 price tags these devices usually carry.

It’s unclear whether this is a temporary deal (most likely) or whether these prices are here to stay. Google recently revealed that Nexus sales have fallen since it introduced its latest crop of devices, so these reductions are probably intended to boost sales ahead of a refresh later this year.

It’s thought the Nexus 6’s size and price tag put many Android fans off, but recent reports have claimed Google will launch another 5-inch Nexus 5 made by LG later this year — alongside a 5.7-inch Nexus made by Huawei.

We don’t yet know whether these devices will be more affordable like Google’s older Nexus hardware, however.
