It looks like LG is planning to release a new variant of the LG G4 dubbed the “G4 S.” This device, the one you see pictured above, isn’t to be confused with the also rumored LG G4 Pro, which will apparently launch sometime this fall with even beefier specs than the G4.
Instead, the G4 S sounds like a phone that will fall slightly below the G4 in the family. It’s certainly more of a mid-range smartphone and reportedly packs a 5.2-inch 1080p display, an 8-megapixel camera with manual settings — perhaps similar to that of the LG G4 — and an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The photos and the specs were first provided by High-tech.mail.ru, which said the phone is coming “soon.”
Android Central said the phone is expected sometime later this month. We’ll let you know as additional details start to trickle in.
