DROID Turbo Lollipop release is missing key features

Verizon and Motorola finally released Android 5.1 Lollipop for the DROID Turbo earlier on Wednesday, but the long-delayed update’s frustrating saga still isn’t over. It turns out the DROID Turbo is still missing two key features that should be included with Android Lollipop.

Droid-Life reports that the update doesn’t include multi-user support or guest mode login, citing multiple readers who reached out to report the issue. Both features are apparently absent from both the official Lollipop upgrade and the soak test, which kicked off last week.

Interestingly, Verizon lists both features as part of the update in its official changelog. Meanwhile, Motorola’s post announcing the news doesn’t mention multi-account support or guest logins. Droid-Life suggests that Motorola may be responsible for the issue, though we haven’t seen any official confirmation either way.

It’s unclear if the DROID Turbo will get another update to add these missing features. We hope a fix is released soon, but don’t hold your breath.
