This generation, every big exclusive or tentpole game gets its own special edition Xbox, PlayStation, or even both, it seems. Forza Motorsport 6 is no different.
When Forza Motorsport 6 hits on September 15 this year, racing fans who might’ve been on the edge with Forza Motorsport 5 or Forza Horizon 2 will have one of the better special editions we’ve seen yet to look forward to.
The system is styled after the new Ford GT gracing the cover of this year’s Forza down to some pretty specific details. The system comes in the same blue that the Ford GT uses and has a pair of matte finish racing stripes as well. There’s a 10 year anniversary badge hidden on the side in the same finish. The power button has the Start/Stop labeling seen on the Ford GT’s ignition and when you turn the system on or off, instead of the regular Xbox sound you get an engine revving and slowing. The disc drive even has its own sound effect. The system sports a 1TB drive as well.
The controller is one of the new Xbox One controllers, so it has the 3.5mm jack and the improved bumpers (with a metallic finish to match the brushed titanium inside the Ford GT). An additional bonus is a set of rubberized diamond grips on the back of the blue-and-black controller for a bit of extra grip.
The system does, of course, include a copy of Forza Motorsport 6 for download.
The Forza Motorsport Limited Edition Xbox One goes on sale September 15 alongside the game, and the controller will be available separately as well.
