Apple brings Flyover to 7 new cities

New betas for iOS 9, OS X El Capitan, and watchOS 2 weren’t the only things Apple rolled out on Tuesday. The company also updated its Flyover feature in Apple Maps to add 7 new cities, including two in Germany, two in Spain, and one in England.

These are the new cities that you can now fly through (virtually) and see glorious 3D buildings and landmarks:

  • Almería, Spain
  • Braga, Portugal
  • Jerez de la Frontera, Spain
  • Karlsruhe, Germany
  • Kiel, Germany
  • Kingston upon Hull, England
  • San Juan, Puerto Rico

Apple has been working to increase Flyover’s reach since it first came to Maps. It’s one of the few advantages Maps has over rival services, such as Google Maps, so it’s no surprise the company wants to make it as good as it can be.

This year alone, Apple has added 30 new locations to the service, taking the total number of Flyover-supported cities to over 150.
