Apple Beats 1 featured on world’s largest digital billboard

Apple really wants you to know about Apple Music. It really, really wants you to know about its new radio station, dubbed Beats 1, too.

In an effort to get the message out, Apple took over part of the world’s largest digital billboard, which exists in New York City’s Times Square on the front of the Marriott Marquis hotel. It’s where Google once had a massive Android ad though, admittedly, Apple’s space is shared by some other ads. Oh, and for those keeping track, yes, there was another “world’s largest billboard” for the LG G3, though it wasn’t digital.

The Beats 1 ad was posted on Twitter by Zane Lowe, a DJ who left BBC to host a show on the new 24/7 radio station. As 9to5Mac notes, it oddly doesn’t show the Apple logo anywhere, just the Beats 1 logo. One would think Apple might want folks to know that Beats 1 is associated with its new Apple Music service.

We’re ready to check out Apple Music and features such as Beats 1 in just a few days, on June 30.
