T-Mobile CEO John Legere said on Tuesday that T-Mobile will announce a new Un-carrier offering on Thursday, June 25. It’s called “Un-carrier Amped” and the CEO promises that the companies moves are being “turned up to 11!”
We’re not 100 percent sure what to make of the event, but the word “amped” and the action of turning the volume up to 11 both suggest it has something to do with music. Maybe it’s as simple as T-Mobile announcing that Apple Music won’t count toward data caps, which would certainly be welcome ahead of that service’s launch later this month. Maybe it’s something else entirely.
We’ll need to wait two more days to find out what Un-carrier amped is all about.
