Amazon Echo now available for all

by Todd Haselton | June 23, 2015June 23, 2015 12:40 pm PST

Amazon on Tuesday announced that the Amazon Echo is now available for anyone to purchase. Previously, Amazon required consumers to submit their email addresses for a future invite to order the device.

The Amazon Echo first launched with relatively limited functionality, allowing you to call upon the device using your voice to place goods in an Amazon shopping cart, play music, ask for the weather and more. It has since gained additional functionality, like the ability to place an order for you or read you a book from Audible.com. The product also has a 4.5 star rating on Amazon, with more than 18,300 reviews, which suggests it’s a pretty solid device to own if you’re a fan of Amazon’s ecosystem.

The Amazon Echo will ship with free two-day Prime shipping when it’s in stock beginning on July 14. Hit the source to order yours now.
