Zombi rated for Xbox One, suggests ZombiU port inbound

The Wii U launched with a really odd variety of software. Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U made up the best of Nintendo’s offerings, and the greatest third party option was easily ZombiU.

Ubisoft relaunched their long forgotten zombie game with GamePad centric mechanics, and the result was a really haunting and harrowing zombie experience unlike anything we’d played on any other platform. It was, out and out, a good game.

That was in 2012, and Ubisoft has since all but abandoned the Wii U.

Enter the Australian Classification board for all things leak. Zombi has just been rated MA 15+, citing “strong horror violence, blood and gore.” The date of classification in June 17, 2015, and the author, publisher and applicant of the game is, of course, Ubisoft.

Either this is an entirely new Zombi game or a port of ZombiU for the Xbox One (and, we assume, PC and PlayStation 4). It seems like Australia may have just rained on Ubisoft’s upcoming parade.
