Acer Chromebase with blazing Tegra K1 launches this month

Acer on Monday announced that its Chromebase all-in-one, which features a powerful NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, will be available later this month.

The Chromebase was first announced in April and features a 21.5-inch 1080p display (one model also includes a 10-point touchscreen, though it costs a bit more), an adjustable stand with tilt controls, Chrome OS, the aforementioned Tegra K1 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 16GB drive, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports and HDMI-out.

The Chromebase will start at $329.99, which seems like a pretty good price all things considered, though the touchscreen version will set you back an additional $100. Acer said it will be available through “leading retailers,” so we suspect it will be pretty easy to find when it hits stores.
