Samsung showed off a number of fancier colors for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge during its unveiling back in March, but they’re still hard to find in most markets. That’s soon going to change for the U.K. after Samsung confirmed launch dates for the Blue Topaz Galaxy S6 and Green Emerald S6 edge.
Both devices will be hitting the U.K. on July 1, Samsung announced on its blog this week — but one of them will be slightly harder to find, and available only for a limited time.
You’ll be able to buy the Green Emerald S6 edge from all major high street retailers, like Carphone Warehouse — and as well as most carriers, including EE, O2, Three, and Vodafone. While supplies may be somewhat limited at first, it should be just as easy to find as any other S6 edge eventually.
But the Blue Topaz Galaxy S6 is a different story. This particular variant will be available between July 1 and August 12 only, and you’ll have to visit either Carphone Warehouse or a Samsung Experience Store to buy one. Samsung hasn’t said exactly how many units will be made available.
Despite their colorful paint jobs, the Blue Topaz Galaxy S6 and Green Emerald S6 edge will cost exactly the same as existing options — and they’ll carry all of the same internals, too. That includes a 5.1-inch Quad HD display, Samsung’s latest Exynos 7420 processor, and that fantastic 16-megapixel camera.
