Mario Link

When Sony throws a sale, that just means it’s Tuesday. When Nintendo throws a sale, best to check the sky for flying pigs.

And look at that! A brand new Star Fox game! Sale time!

Anyway, this sale drops prices of the Mario and Legend of Zelda franchises up to 30 percent. Pretty much every Mario game from the last half a decade is on sale like Super Mario 3D World for $41.99 and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for $27.99.

I know I said I wasn’t buying anything this week, but I caved in and finally snagged up my digital version of Super Mario 3D Land for $20.99. That’s my favorite Mario from the last several years, and it just feels good having it in my digital folders.

As for The Legend of Zelda, well, you know what you like. Hyrule Warriors and The Wind Waker HD are both up for grabs for cheap, but take my advice. Donate a little time this summer vacation to finding out why The Minish Cap is such an underrated gem from the series. $5.59 is a steal!

The sale extends to a few other franchises like Yoshi, Just Dance, and LEGO, and a few individual games can be snagged up too. Easy recommendations are Fire Emblem: Awakening, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Fantasy Life, and Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Enjoy your sale and be sure to thank Nintendo for all its hard work. Don’t be like these mooks.
