Star Fox Zero officially announced for the Wii U

As Muppet Miyamoto, Iwata and Fils-Aime took the virtual stage this morning for the Nintendo Digital Event here at E3, they slowly transformed into the main trio from Star Fox.

They announced Star Fox Zero. It’s bound for the Wii U this holiday. It’s being led by Shigeru Miyamoto, of course.

Complete with tons of vehicles and a running Arwing thing, the game looks like what fans have been hoping for. The banter between these friends in space returns, and it seems there’s an even bigger penchant being placed on the silliness.

That sounds good to me.

The game will feature GamePad support for motion control, perhaps like Splatoon. There’s also going to be complete dual analog support.

We’ll be going hands-on with Star Fox Zero this week at E3. Stay tuned.
