Forest Whitaker is in negotiations to join Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One, according to a new report published Monday. Whitaker’s appointment will see him join an all-star cast comprised of Felicity Jones, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn and Diego Luna, Variey said. Gareth Edwards, who directed the recent Godzilla reboot, is on board to direct.

Whitaker’s casting hasn’t been officially confirmed by Disney or Lucasfilm, but recent rumors surrounding the project have proved to be pretty accurate as of late.

We still don’t know many details about Rogue One, so which character Whitaker might play is unclear. He typically plays the charming good guy you want to see succeed, so perhaps he’ll be in some kind of high-ranking General role.

Rogue One will take place between Episode III and Episode IV, and will see the Rebel Alliance attempt to steal plans for the Death Star. The film is currently scheduled for a Dec. 16, 2016 release.
