Rare Replay bringing 30 classic games to the Xbox One

by Sean P. Aune | June 15, 2015

Microsoft looks as though it is finally giving Rare the credit its due with a new Rare Replay collection.

Rare had a long and storied history before Microsoft shifted the studio over to focus on the Kinect. With the motion sensor virtually dead at this point, and Killer Instinct doing well, it seems that the company has finally realized it is sitting on a gold mine in the studio’s back catalog.

To that end we can expect the Rare Replay collection to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the studio. This new collection will include 30 of the biggest hits from the studio including the likes of Banjo Kazooie, Battletoads, Viva Pinata and many more.

The collection is slated to be released on Aug. 4 and will have 10,000 gamescore points up for grabs, but you know you’re really playing it for the nostalgia.
