Now this is pretty cool. I tend to pack my Chromecast when I travel so that I can stream Netflix and other content in my hotel room. Marriott Hotels is taking that extra legwork out of the equation, however, and announced on Wednesday that select hotels will now provide Netflix access.

You’ll have the option to log into an existing account or simply subscribe to Netflix right from your hotel TV. Sure, Marriott loses out on revenue generated from exorbitant movie rental prices, but it also might win over a few customers who find this sort of streaming access very convenient. Nothing like some Always Sunny in Philadelphia when you’re in a hotel room 3,000 miles from home. Better yet, Marriott promises that all of your login information is wiped after you leave, so the next guest won’t be streaming from your account.

Netflix is already active on televisions in six Marriott locations, including the New York Marriott East Side, the San Jose Marriott, the Princeton Marriott, the Newport Marriott, the Dallas/Fort Worth Marriott Solana and the Bethesda Marriott Suites. Marriott also noted that more than 24 U.S. hotels “representing other Marriott International” plans are also outfitted with Netflix, and additional Marriott brands will gain support in the future.

In total, more than 100 Marriott locations will have access by the end of this year, with “nearly all” properties scheduled for support by the end of next year.
