Metal Gear Solid V limited console coming to EU, AUS and NZ – New Screenshots, too

Konami announced this week that the special edition red and gold PlayStation 4 that will release alongside Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in Japan and Hong Kong will be making it to European, Australian and New Zealand markets as well. Alongside this announcement, though, came a stack of new screenshots to ogle over until we get to play the game this fall.

We get a peek at a couple interesting things here. First, some nice close-ups of Snake’s canine companion, Diamond Dog, with his sweet eye patch. Second is an adorable little mech Snake can ride in.  We’ve seen snake’s horse, D-Horse, before in last year’s E3 demo. Diamond Dog, along with the sniper Quiet and other characters can accompany Snake on missions, providing various abilities to help Snake out.

As for the PlayStation 4 itself, it includes a red and gold PlayStation 4, a metallic grey controller, both with the Diamond Dogs emblem, and a copy of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This is the 500GB model of the PlayStation 4, not the recently leaked 1TB version.

Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain and the special edition PlayStation 4 are both available September 1 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. PC gamers can look forward to the game on September 15.
