Grand Theft Auto V modder working on recreating Vice City

Grand Theft Auto V modder NTAuthority recently revealed a new  method that would allow adding custom maps to the game. Now modders are working to bring one of the series’ fan favorites back to life. Vice City, based on 1980s Miami, has been imported into Grand Theft Auto V.

And it’s looking, surprisingly, quite nice. This is an early version of the city. There’s no traffic, no people, no life of any kind. It’s also making use of the same textures the original map used.

While Rockstar probably wouldn’t be too keen on modders importing the whole game into GTAV, we plan to keep an eye on this mod to see how it progresses.
