Samsung’s new smartwatch said to launch with Samsung Pay baked-in

Samsung Pay is already set to launch in September alongside the Galaxy Note 5, but the mobile payments service may come baked into a second new device as well. South Korean newspaper The Electronic Times claims the company will also launch a new smartwatch with Samsung Pay support later this year.

The report doesn’t offer many specific details, but we assume it’s talking about the rumored Gear A. Samsung’s first round smartwatch is expected to debut in September at IFA. Beyond mobile payment support, the new watch may also feature a rotating bezel, 3G connectivity and a sleek metal design.

After taking a full year off from the wearables market, Samsung is appears ready to dive back in. The company previously promised that its new device would be designed to “perfection.” We’re excited to see if the smartwatch lives up to that claim.
