If you are holding out for a previous generation version of Fallout 4, you’re going to have to wait for the rest of eternity. It’s not happening. Rumors from former inside sources and the official website’s source code were laid to rest this weekend by Bethesda’s Global Community Lead Matt Grandstaff answering questions on NeoGAF.
In response to questions about a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version, Grandstaff confirmed that they would not be happening.
It is not coming to 360 and PS3, the stuff we’re doing will never work there.
So whatever rumors are still swirling around the Internet, you can simply ignore them. Fallout 4 is just going to be too awesome for the previous generation technology. Any suspicions that Bethesda has anything else rolled up its sleeves have officially been… nuked.
Fallout 4 will launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Expect more information and possibly an official release date at E3 during Bethesda’s press conference.
