Blizzard has officially announced that new Heroes are coming to Hearthstone, their wildly successful card battling game. The Heroes, though, aren’t as exciting as you might think.
For $9.99, you’ll be able to pick up a new Hero in a pre-existing class. That means you’re basically buying a new skin, animations and voice work for ten smackers.
The Hero Power will remain the same, and the purchase will not unlock any new cards.
The first Hero announced is Magni Bronzebeard, a dwarf in the Warrior class. His ability? More armor. This should look familiar, then.
These new heroes won’t alter the meta game of Hearthstone at all. They’re purely cosmetic and aren’t a required purchase in any way, shape or form.
But, why am I disappointed? It’s the price point, quite frankly. I could easily see dropping a buck or two on this skin and voice pack. Really, I’d probably do it. $9.99? No, sorry, too rich for my blood.
