LEGO Dimensions features The Simpsons, Ghostbusters, Portal and tons more

If Warner Bros. and Tt Games can do LEGO Dimensions right, they might have a mega hit on their hands. It’s a toys-to-life game like Skylanders, Disney Infinity or the titles that amiibo are compatible with, but it carries the extra weight of actually offering genuine LEGO sets instead of un-posable figures.

A new press release, trailer and pack of pictures and screenshots from WB has revealed just a bit of the franchises included in LEGO Dimensions. The rundown? The SimpsonsDoctor WhoGhostbustersPortalJurassic WorldMidway ArcadeScooby Doo and LEGO Chima. That includes, of course, the LEGO Movie and Lord of the Rings stuff we’ve seen already.

It doesn’t stop there, either. We’ll see Wizard of Oz, Back to the Future, Ninjago and the whole DC Comics library. Everything brought to screens or print by Warner Bros. is possible here. Heck, even more than stuff released by WB is coming.

This is a nerd’s dream come true, folks. I’m personally a fan of LEGO. I also absolutely love Ghostbusters and Back to the Future. If LEGO Dimensions means I can get unique sets from films I grew up with, I’m all over it.

LEGO Dimensions will launch for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Wii U on Sept. 27, 2015.
