Imgur Android app gets a total makeover

Back in March, Imgur unveiled a beautiful new app for iOS. Now the company is bringing that same design to Android.

The new app drops you right into a stream of images and GIFs. You can swipe left to quickly scroll through the latest memes and jokes, or tap on one to dive deeper with a fullscreen view. From there you can view longer posts and checkout the comments. You can also keep scrolling through Imgur without leaving fullscreen mode. Finally, the company says it has fixed an annoying image loop bug that plagued the old Android app.

You can download the new Imgur right now for free via Google Play as long as you have a device running Android 4.1 or up. The company also says it has cooked up an update for its iOS app, which adds the option to upload your own photos straight from the app and a few other requested features. Hopefully it won’t take too long for Apple to approve the changes.
