Google Wallet is far from dead. The mobile payment app may be pushed aside for the recently-announced Android Pay, but it turns out Google still has plans for the older service.

The original mobile payment app will pivot to focus on what was arguably already its most popular feature: sending money between friends. In a Google+ post, the company revealed that it’s working on a brand new app design for Android and iOS. Once it launches, the refreshed service will link with your debit card, making it possible to send money to anyone in minutes even if they don’t have a bank account.

The new Google Wallet won’t be available for a few more months, though you can already use the current version to send money to a friend. Android Pay is also expected to hit the Google Play Store soon, but it’s unclear exactly when it will be available to download.
